Hello,
I'm new at managing Nagios XI and I have some issues with managing the email notifications.
we are running
Nagios XI version: 5.5.2
XI installed from: source
XI UUID: 94921ac1-d11a-45c6-b0c6-13a06342034b
Release info: nagiosxi 3.10.0-514.26.2.el7.x86_64 x86_64
CentOS Linux release 7.3.1611 (Core)
Gnome is not installed
I have an account named nagiosadmin with my email address configured which look like mickg@company.com
I have my admin account with the same email address
I have some other contacts.
I configured some hosts and added them to an hostgroup
I configured a contact group with myself in it, nagiosadmin and 2 other user contacts.
I configured a simple ping check service and applied it to the hostgroup mentionned just before
My problem is , only nagiosadmin gets the email notification.
we are using a smtp relay , no authentification.
maybe I skipped some template relations ?

Did each of the other users login with their username/password yet and accept the terms of service?
If so, once they login, click their username upper-right and go to Notification Settings
Are notifications enabled?
Are all the checkboxes checked?
If so , click Notification Methods
Is email checked?
If so, once they login, click their username upper-right and go to Notification Settings

Yes every users included in the contact group logged in and accept the terms.

When I click on notification method in the user account, I get a message saying :
on the other hand, In the CCM - contact - mickg - manage contact templates : I have the xi_contact_generic assigned and in contact templates, xi_contact_generic , in the alert settings I have everything enabled. with the manage host notification command assigned to notify-host-by-email. and same thing for the service notification command

I have 2 users in that contact group , one with admin privileges and the other is a regular user , I get the same error message then I clic on notification methods.Nagios XI notification handlers are not defined for this account. XI notification handlers must be defined in the Core Config Manager for customized notification settings.

The notification commands for the contacts in the CCM should be:
Manage Host Notification Commands -> xi_host_notification_handler
Manage Service Notification Commands -> xi_service_notification_handler
then apply configuration

then apply configuration
