Centos/nagiosxi migration 7

:?: you closed the thread too quick, I said I had more questions, so latest is centos7.6, which do I want ? minimal, full (everything?)

We always recommend a minimal install.

can i go from old server on 5.5.8 to the new which is on 5.5.10 or do both have to be on same nagiosxi version? :roll:

It would be recommended to be on the same versions.

Once you restore it is going to bring you back down to the version from the backup, but being you are changing operating systems you would have the newer binaries but be on the older Nagios XI system.

this is what I was afraid of, trying to upgrade old server get this

Is this server behind a proxy? this error is basically saying that yum cannot reach the epel repository

no proxy we go over this point every time


I'll just keep trying I guess, problem is now I cannot upgrade the old system so cannot migrate to the new server

unless I wipe out the new server and start all over again using 5.5.8, unless I can remove the 5.5.10 and do a full install using 5.5.8?

think I found a snapshot from prior to running install, I'll just roll it back and do 5.5.8
