Is there a way to display/hide menus on left hand side in Nagios XI, different to each User ?
Display only some links (reports needed by User) in Reports tab ?

You can customize the landing page, but not the menu itself.

Yes, that can be done. But I am just looking to have different set of Links in left side Menu, atleast for Admin and User.
Can somebody Help in customizing this thru code? Some Filenames, or methodology used to build links.

Maybe something could be done through Custom Includes?

You could potentially use Javascript to pull the user that is logged in, and then if that person is not an admin, they get a custom CSS file that prevents certain links from displaying.

I can definitely put this in as a feature request.

The given link is certailny very useful. Will work on it.

Please put in a feature request...Different set of Left side links for Admin and User (if possible in each of the tabs).

after an upgrade of Nagios XI, does this remain or need to be re-done? or Take a backup and just re-apply...anything like that?

Custom Includes will probably survive an upgrade. But if there are any hiccups during an upgrade, anything custom is usually the first thing to get pruned in the troubleshooting process. So definitely take a backup prior to any upgrade, just in case.
