Check_nrpe Connection reset by peer

Post by SiniSreen »

Hello,

I have been receiving nrpe issues on a server recently which was working perfectly fine earlier and the below is the error message.

CHECK_NRPE: Error - Could not connect to xx.x.x.x: Connection reset by peer

And below are the outputs from the client server:

[root@~]# tail /var/log/messages
nrpe[82174]: Error: (!log_opts) Could not complete SSL handshake with : 5
xinetd[82228]: warning: can't get client address: Connection reset by peer

[root@~]# /usr/local/nagios/libexec/check_nrpe -H localhost
NRPE v3.2.1

The nagios IP is allowed in nrpe config file and the service is run through xinetd daemon.

I tried all the solutions available but nothings seems to fix the issue. Please let me know on priority.

Thanks in advance!

Can you show one of the commands that is failing, and post or PM me the nrpe configuration file?
