Post by manimurugesan »

Hello Team,

Currently we are using nagiosxi 5.5.5 version so we are planning upgrade os from rhel 6.7 to rhel 7.

For migrating nagiosxi backup and restore concept will work ?

Could you please clarify the Nagios XI compatibility with RHEL7,

Hello,

RHEL7 or CentOS are the most common deployments for Nagios XI and fully compatible. We are always recommend clean (nothing else installed), minimal version of the distribution.

We have a guide for step-by-step migration instructions. Also, you'll need to migrate between the same versions of Nagios XI. You can either upgrade to the latest version of Nagios XI on the current system and then migrate or install XI 5.5.5 on the new server and then upgrade XI.
