Nagios to understand nagios graph

Post by grayloglearn »

Hi Team,

How to understand nagios graphs.
For example: we have enabled remote server memory utilization for every 5 min.
Now the time is 10:00:00 nagios is polled at 10:00 utilization is normal. The graph will show green
Now nagios should poll at 10:05. In between the remote server memory utilization was used 95% then again later 2 min utilization is came to normal this happen in between 10:00:20 to 10:04:15

Now server will pole at 10:05:00 at that time the graph will show green. Correct me if I am wrong.

From 10:00:00 to 10:05:00 the graph will show as green right?

That is correct.

To check_interval of the service would need to be increased if you wanted to capture the utilization more frequently.
