service check timed out 90 to 120

service check timed out 90 to 120

Hi Team,

could you please tell if change the vi /usr/local/nagios/etc/nagios.cfg
service checked timed out =90 to service checked timed out=120 what will happen.

It means that nagios will wait up to 120 seconds for a plugin to return a result before timing out and canceling the check.

Does this will give any impact on current monitoring and any service check will faile by applying this. Any false alarm will give.

It won't cause any to fail, but could allow some checks to run longer before timing out, the downside to this is higher load on the monitoring server
