Hi Team,
Our NagiosXI is hosted on centOS 6.5 which will be retiring next year, I wanted to confirm if OS is upgraded to latest CentOS 8 or may be 7 then what differences will occur to NagiosXI and what major issues I might come across?
database? scripts? directories etc
is it doable smoothly without any issues?
Cheers

Re: Linux updates on NagiosXI server
It is doable to CentOS 7, CentOS 8 is not supported yet.
The instructions are here
https://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nag ... ios-XI.pdf
Because you are changing OS, the plugins will not be copied because compiled plugins will need to be compiled on the new OS, if you have any custom plugins, these would need to be moved to the new system manually.
