Nagiox XI - physical or virtual?

Hi,
we currently consider moving our Nagios XI from our old physical HP server to something new.
What could be the criteria for choosing between the physical server and the virtual one (VMware)?
At the moment we have about 200 hosts and about 3000 services configured.

Either physical or virtual should be fine for that size environment, If I had any specific advice it would be to have fast disks (preferably SSDs) that aren't over-utilized by other VM's if you are virtual.
