processing stopped

Sometime on Aug 5, all checks stop with the following error in the event log;


Informational Message[08-05-2010 23:55:46] ndomod: Still unable to connect to data sink. 267875 items lost, 5000 queued items to flush.
Informational Message[08-05-2010 23:40:34] ndomod: Still unable to connect to data sink. 261831 items lost, 5000 queued items to flush.
Informational Message[08-05-2010 23:31:46] Auto-save of retention data completed successfully.
Informational Message[08-05-2010 23:25:22] ndomod: Still unable to connect to data sink. 255780 items lost, 5000 queued items to flush.
Informational Message[08-05-2010 23:10:10] ndomod: Still unable to connect to data sink. 249727 items lost, 5000 queued items to flush.

version Nagios XI 2009R1.2D running in oracle virtualbox.

Just rebooted nagiosxi. Nagios core shows checks being run every 5 minutes but service detail in nagiosxi interface still shows no update since about 11:00am Aug 5. Monitoring engine stats dashboard shows all 0's.

Perhaps mysql stopped?
