Hi,
I'm starting up the vm for the first time on a linux 64 bit machine with 8GB memory and it is taking forever. I don't see any services starting up just blank black screen in the vmware screen. The hard drive is showing activity but I don't see anything else. Not sure if something is wrong or it is taking a super long time. Please help!
trouble starting vm
Re: trouble starting vm
Are you using Vmware player or VirtualBox to run the image? You should see the system starting up almost immediately. If not, there could be some issue with Vmware player or VirtualBox. Anyone else run into this problem?

Re: trouble starting vm
I found the problem I logged into the server via vnc with my username then started the vmplayer as root. Tried starting it with the user I logged in as and it worked. Thanks.
