Hello everybody,
Lately, I have been promoted to our Nagios administrator! (whoopee for advances !!! tease)
I did a fundamental search, however, I thought this would be a decent place to get an explanation on a couple of things.
Climate is made up omegle tv of the 6 cents and 7 cents frames.
Lots of guides give examples of how to enter the Nagios center through source code + build. I see there is a Nagios port 4.4.3 rpm package accessible through the epel repository. Is there any explanation I need ometv to accumulate it instead of just using the rpm?
Would it be advisable to use nrpe or xinetd?
Should modules be introduced in any / all targets (framework I'm looking at) or just source (Nagios worker)
on the off chance that I need to acknowledge an alarm via email / SMS, is there a module I need or is it an "out of the container" include?

Re: General queries about Nagios
Hello,
Thanks for reaching out and hope your day is going well.
Would like to suggest installing the Nagios core from source using this guide.
NRPE and/or NCPA agent will work. The NRPE uses the xinetd for service start-up.
SMS module is available, but most are sending via email gateway.
Thanks,
Perry
