PHP compatibility with nagios-core?

Postby mitch491 » Thu Jan 26, 2023 4:41 pm

Hello,

Is the latest nagios-core, 4.4.10, compatible with any PHP 8.x versions?

I'm curious about that too. I just setup a new Ubuntu server with PHP8.1 and Nagios 4.4.10 and I'm having trouble. My post is still waiting on the moderator approval.

Everything on mine looks fine from the command line, but the web page shows "Not Running" and the different views like Tactical Overview look more like a display of a binary file.

Last night I down graded the PHP from 8.1 to 7.4. I'm having the same problems with the web page saying "Not Running" and other pages showing a bunch of symbols.

Has anyone got Nagios 4.4.10 working on an Ubuntu server? I'm wondering if something changed in the steps to install 4.4.10 and maybe the install documents haven't been updated yet?
