"+" sign in the duration time
"+" sign in the duration time
Hi,
I got nagios up and running for about one week and today i noticed something in the duration time: there is a + sing after the timestamps:
Host Status: UP (for 0d 2h 22m 35s+)
Status Information: PING OK - Packet loss = 0%, RTA = 18.81 ms
Performance Data: rta=18.806000ms;80.000000;200.000000;0.000000 pl=0%;1;5;0
Current Attempt: 1/5 (HARD state)
Last Check Time: 2013-04-15 16:42:04
Check Type: ACTIVE
Check Latency / Duration: 0.345 / 0.050 seconds
Next Scheduled Active Check: 2013-04-15 16:47:14
Last State Change: N/A
Last Notification: N/A (notification 0)
Is This Host Flapping? NO (0.00% state change)
In Scheduled Downtime? NO
Last Update: 2013-04-15 16:43:04 ( 0d 0h 0m 4s ago)
i got this for several ghosts.
Is this a bug or something?

Re: "+" sign in the duration time
Hmm I believe I have seen this on occasion, is it showing on all of your hosts/services? If you force an active check "Re-schedule a check" does it reset the plus sign?
Re: "+" sign in the duration time
Not on all the hosts, i think its about on 100 hosts. Will try tommorow

Re: "+" sign in the duration time
no result after forcing an active check.
all the durations with the "+" mark are having the same time to.
could it be a problem in the logs?

Re: "+" sign in the duration time
What version of XI does the system display in the lower left corner? Was this a VM?
Re: "+" sign in the duration time
the version is: Nagios® Core™ 3.2.1
no, it is not a VM. its a dedicated machine

Re: "+" sign in the duration time
Did you install via yum or apt-get? It would be highly advisable to copy your configurations and install a newer version from 3.4 or 3.5, from source. The configurations have not changed, and would be directly applicable to the new version.
Nagios-Plugins maintainer exclusively, unless you have other C language bugs with open-source nagios projects, then I am happy to help! Please pm or use other communication to alert me to issues as I no longer track the forum.
Re: "+" sign in the duration time
apt-get.
the problem is, i cannot afford now to put nagios down now
but the problem is tempory fixed. pulled the network cable out by accident

Re: "+" sign in the duration time
Not sure if you have the resources but you could migrate to a new machine, move the config, verify all is working before taking old server offline
