How can i fix this....

I can't restart my nagios with:
service nagios restart or /etc/init.d/nagios restart

I can start it with ...
/usr/local/nagios/bin/nagios -d /usr/local/nagios/etc/nagios.cfg

How can i fix it ..that i can restart back with the short service commando
