Hi

can I monitor a remote host with a perl script in my server where my nagios core is present? can you please provide me any steps to do that without installing NPRE on the remote server.

If you need to run the script locally on the remote host for it to function, you will have to use an agent, full stop. NRPE, check_by_ssh, or a custom solution is required.
