Oh boy, that is a very old version. I would not be surprised if the plugins for that version had issues that have been resolved. I would highly suggest building a newer version from source on your system.
Nagios-Plugins maintainer exclusively, unless you have other C language bugs with open-source nagios projects, then I am happy to help! Please pm or use other communication to alert me to issues as I no longer track the forum.

Hi again!
Oh jah, well, I knew it would be something ... looking wide open into my eyes and I don't see it ... as soon I added -4 (for checking using IPv4) it did work as expected. My fault!
