Hello dear forum members,
I'm having an issue and dunno if anyone can help me solve this.
Let's take a service for example. Let's say I want the main admin to get
a notification immediately when there is a non-OK hard state for Memory Load. This same notification
I wanna send it with a delay of 2 hours (1-5 minutes while testing it) to a second contact.
Picture this scenario. Main admin's inbox get's a notification. If the main admin
doesn't acknowledge the problem (which would cancel out a first_delay_notification), a second notification is sent
to another contact. The main admin won't receive more than 1 notification and i have disabled notification intervals.
I've tried doing this with 2 service templates pointing to different contact groups, one with first_notification_delay for 120 the other 0.
But the template hierarchy messes things up and only 1 mail is sent, the delayed notification never gets sent.
Would appreciate any help solving this issues. Take care, one love !

Re: Delayed notification to a second contact
What you need are service/host escalations, please view these pages as they will show you what definitions you need to add to your .cfg files, and how to use them:
