Monitor Cisco AnyConnect VPN

Post by erobinson »

Greetings,

I am using Cisco AnyConnect VPN client on a few different servers. I am already monitoring those servers, but would like to monitor the connection state of the VPN.

AnyConnect created a virtual adapter that is in "Network Connections". If the VPN tunnel is up, the virtual adapter shows "Connected", when it's down the adapter shows "disconnected".

I want to use Nagios to monitor the connection state of this VPN adapter. I can't seem to figure this one out.

Please help!

Thanks,
Eric-

I am sad that no one has had any ideas yet.

Something that would work is to monitor the connection state in "Network Connections". I haven't been able to figure it out. Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas?
