user permissions

Post by mmatulka »

Is there a way in Nagios core 3.2.3 to allow user admin access, or more specifically, the ability to use all of the options like setting scheduled maintenance, to only a host group? Basically, what I want is to be able to assign privileges by host or hostgroup, not as a global permission. Thanks in advance.

You'll have to add that user as a contact for that group and give them the directive "can_submit_commands 1" (I think). That should give them both the ability to view and work with the hosts/service they need to see without making their permissions global.
