Hello everyone,
If this question has been asked before im sorry for creating unecessary spam on the forum. I did a bit of googling and searched this forum however, I was not able to find an answer. I am creating a ubuntu nagios box and I wanted to know if nagios ran smoother on a 32 or 64 bit system. Thank you for your time!

It should be fine on either. Note however that the quickstart guide for Ubuntu in the Nagios documentation is badly out of date, so you probably don't want to follow that.

Thanks for the reply Tony!
I took a look at the fedora and openSUSE quickstart guides and was not able to find a date where those were last updated as well ( looking here http://nagios.sourceforge.net/docs/3_0/quickstart.html ). Am I pretty much in the same situation with those distro's as well? Or would one of those distro's have more up to date documentation?

They all need work really. I'll be updating the stuff for Ubuntu / Debian in the next few weeks, but in the meantime you can use https://help.ubuntu.com/10.04/serverguide/C/nagios.html.
