[Nagios-devel] Frontpage for web interface

Post by Guest »

Hi all,

We have a nice nagios up and running smooth in our company.
Recently we had to change the configuration files and accidentally put some
errors in them.
Now, if you click the restart nagios button on the web interface to reload
the config files, nagios just shuts down, of course.
Now you have to start an ssh session to the server, log in, find the right
path and command to reload nagios and have it show you the errors - a rather
time-consuming procedure.
Wouldn't it be cool to have a frontpage on the webinterface where you can
start, stop, reload, etc the nagios process on the host, and, in case there
are any errors, they'd be displayed right there, on the webpage?
Maybe you could have a button that gets you right to the file and line the
error's at, too?
That'd be awsome. :-)
Is anybody using such system already or knows of anybody working on anything
like it?

I'd be happy to hear from y'all soon.

Sincerely,

Daniel Geske
