Availability calculation issue

Post by jonc »

Hello

I am currently experiencing an issue where if a host has been in scheduled downtime, then availability figures for services on that host contain some strange values.

For example, if I run a report against such a service for the previous month, with a 'workhours' time period, for CRITICAL I get the following:

Unscheduled 49710d 6h 11m 16s -0.708% -0.708%
Scheduled 0d 0h 17m 0s 0.708% 0.708%

This error occurs whether the service has been down within the report period or not.

This is on version 3.2.1. Has anybody else experienced this?

Thanks

Hello

I have now narrowed this issue down. The following criteria are required to recreate this:

- The report must be run with a time period such as 'workhours'. The issue does not occur with 24x7.
- The service must have a scheduled downtime period which lies outside of the report time period.

For example, if a service has scheduled downtime from 02:00 to 03:00, and an availability report is then run from 09:00 to 17:00, the issue will occur.

Thanks
