Adding first switch

Post by ditlevw »

Hi guys

I've just installed my first Nagios-server and I'm having some issues with adding my first switch.

I've removed the "#" from the "cfg_file=/usr/local/nagios/etc/objects/switch.cfg"-line ind the config-file.

I've also edited the section with hostname, alias and IP. When I try to restart the service, I get this error:

root@Nagios:~/downloads/nagios-plugins-1.4.11# /etc/init.d/nagios restart
Running configuration check... CONFIG ERROR! Restart aborted. Check your Nagios configuration.

What am I doing wrong?

I found the error in "cfg_file=/usr/local/nagios/etc/objects/switch.cfg". Apparently there are more than one line with hostname-info to change.

Sorry for the inconvenience.
