Merge days

Post by kazlev »

Hello,
I have problem with display when I use "Host State Trends". I have one-day-gaps like in attachment (in logs is the same problem). Is that a bug or wrong configuration?

Can you check your /usr/local/nagios/var/nagios.log for the period of time the graph is missing? Specifically August 27th and August 13th. You should see gaps there too. If you have recurring downtime, log rotation, or anything like that going on every 2 weeks, it could cause nagios to have gaps.

Ok, I checked last month and I recived 2 gaps: 6 and 11 september (in attachment). In logs i can`t find gaps

2013-09-05 00:00:00 2013-09-05 17:15:52 0d 17h 15m 52s HOST UP (HARD) PING OK - Packet loss = 0%, RTA = 2.87 ms
2013-09-06 00:00:00 2013-09-07 00:00:00 1d 0h 0m 0s HOST UP (HARD) PING OK - Packet loss = 0%, RTA = 2.91 ms

2013-09-10 00:00:00 2013-09-10 15:46:25 0d 15h 46m 25s HOST UP (HARD) PING OK - Packet loss = 0%, RTA = 2.97 ms
2013-09-11 00:00:00 2013-09-12 00:00:00 1d 0h 0m 0s HOST UP (HARD) PING OK - Packet loss = 0%, RTA = 2.93 ms

In nagios log I have:

[1381269600] LOG ROTATION: DAILY

I have this problem for all hosts (the same days for all)

Any ideas...?

When you browse to that url, do you have any errors in the javascript console?

It may just be a display bug. I have reproduced the behavior on one of my core test systems. If I drill down to just the missing day in trends, the data is there.

While we cannot guarantee when fixes will be implemented please file a bug report at:

tracker.nagios.org

If done does not exist already.
