Post by bretlevi »

I can not seem to find where this is documented.

I am able to use the nagiosXI interface, but when i go to use core i can not seem to get any user/password to work, any ideas?

If you have not already initialized a password you may have to intialize one. Try the following (from the XI interface):

> Click the "Configure" tab at the top of the interface
> After that page loads fully, click on the "Enter Nagios Core Configuration Manager" link.
> The last line on this new page should show "Need to initialize or reset the config manager admin password? Click here." Click there.
> Enter the password you want to use in the first text form and then be sure to click the "Update Credentials" button.

Now you should be able to login with your admin username and the password you just put in.
