We are running Nagios 3.2.3 on Fedora 14 and want to be able to monitor APC UPSes with network management cards using Nagios. I have the Network UPS tools installed on the server along with the latest plugins for Nagios, which includes the check_ups plugin.
My question is how do I use the check_ups plugin with the existing .cfg files that Nagios uses (modify commands.cfg and add a new .cfg file? for UPSes?)? I am using SNMP to monitor other devices on our network and would like to the same with our UPSes.
Any feedback on this would be greatly appreciated.
