Hi,

I'm wondering if you could point me in the right direction for installing Nagios without ports? Or would it just be a matter of sunstituting the make install commands with the correct pkg_add -r commands?

For Cent 5 or 6 I would use this doc:

Is there a document for implementing SSL for a Nagios Core server running on Ubuntu?

Thanks!

Are you interested in using ssl for nrpe or for the web server, or both?

I have not been able to find any "recent" documentation on enabling SSL with Nagios in Ubuntu, however you may want to look at the Nagios XI documentation on this as most Nagios XI documentation can correlate with Nagios Core:

http://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nagi ... ios_XI.pdf

As far as NRPE, it must be re-compiled with SSL enabled, there are a few guides on this floating around such as:
