Nagios Support Forum

Whenever i try to restart the nagios service it cames with an error message:

Running configuration check... CONFIG ERROR! Restart aborted. Please check your Nagios configuration files.

The strange thing is that if a run the preflight check it shows 0 errors and 0 warnings.


Does anyone have any idea of what could be causing this?

Did you install from source or a package? Make sure the verify command it pointing to the main nagios.cfg file to run it's verification against. On a source install the command is:
