Take action Nagios

Post by lucasavalos »

From Argentina, Traslator Google Translation
My name is Lucas.
Install Nagios Core 3.2.3 on a ubuntu server virtualized.
Nagios is running very well, host load very simple service to monitor, ping, check memory and disks all windows using NSClient + +.
I would like to know how to take action.
For example, restarting a service before it reaches the 2GB of RAM, or to ping a PC but that respond automatically restart, etc etc.
For me it is again not know much about Linux and under the command of Nagios, I'm learning and I really like.
Already thank you very much

This would involve custom "event handlers" and this can get into scripting, but on remote machines can get a little tricky. Take a look at the following Doc:
http://nagios.sourceforge.net/docs/nagi ... dlers.html

And also look on http://exchange.nagios.org and see if there are some scripts and apps that already do this.
