I been running Nagios Core for a while now and have needed to add some more functionality. I would like to set it up to also check disk space but i haven't figured out how to yet. My installation is on a solaris server. I know it can be done, to pull the useage and free space off of a disk but i haven't gotten there yet. Thanks in advance

Look into the check_disk plugin. You should already have it on your system, since it's included with the standard Nagios plugins.

I checked and it is in there. How difficult is that to configure?

It's not that hard. You can see the documentation for plugins by running them on the command with the '-h' switch, e.g. '/usr/local/nagios/libexec/check_disk -h'. As for adding the check to Nagios, you should consult the Nagios Core manual. You will to add a command definition first, then add the command to a service definition.
