Hi,
I have successfully installed Nagios Core 3.3.1 on Centos5 following this procedure ->

However, when I tried logging in, despite keying in the correct password, I get "403 - Forbidden".
Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Baba
403 - Forbidden after Nagios install
Re: 403 - Forbidden after Nagios install
Are you getting a prompt to enter a username and password?
Check the contents of the /etc/httpd/conf.d/nagios.conf file and verify that the htpasswd.user file exists and that the nagiosadmin user has been added to it.

Code: Select all
htpasswd -c /usr/local/nagios/etc/htpasswd.users nagiosadmin
Re: 403 - Forbidden after Nagios install
Hi,
Thanks for replying.
Yes, I had a logon prompt and also the files nagios.conf & htpasswd are present.
I've also used the htpasswd command to set the nagiosadmin and password.
When I opened the page, it prompts me for the password and it's only after keying in the password that I got the error.
Could it be something to do with Apache ?
Thanks again !

Yes, could you post your apache log file (/var/log/httpd/error_log)?
