Multiple OK traps

Post by mrninni »

Hi all,

I set a Nagios service to receive traps from a device.
The Nagios server receives traps, forwards them to SNMPTT that generate th message to Nagios.

If the device sends 2 warning traps, Nagios shows 2 alerts. When the device sends 2 recovery traps, Nagios show only the first OK status (please see attachment).

In order to optimize my monitoring system i need to have all the alerts.
How i have to do?

Thanks,
Good bye.

I think this is what state stalking is for: http://nagios.sourceforge.net/docs/3_0/stalking.html

I haven't used it (yet) so I'm not 100% sure.

Hi,
I tried your suggestion and seems to work.
I have to test this options some days in order to check the behaviour.

thanks,
Marco
