I am working with a new Nagios Core 3.3.1 setup on freebsd 8.2. I am using sendmail for email alerts. I can send emails from a command line however when nagios fires an alert I never get the emails sent. I see this when I tail the maillog. I see the config for the contacts correct. Has anyone seen this before? I am guessing the to=$ is where the unknown user is coming from

Are you able to post your send email command definition from nagios as well?
