Could you provide an example of what you're looking to accomplish? Core does not have a master / slave feature built into it, which is why I'm wondering.

There are many databases (that use SQL) with many different options for replication. Without knowing your specific database, or what you are using the database for, it's hard to say. That topic doesn't really have anything to do with Nagios Core though since Nagios Core references flat-files for the majority of it's data. Nagios Core doesn't implement a SQL-based database (though Nagios XI does!).

If you are looking for a way to monitor database replication with Nagios Core, there's plenty of options for that. I would start by checking out the exchange (https://exchange.nagios.org/) and seeing if anyone has written a plugin or guide for the specific thing you wish to do.
