memory usage by mysql process

Post by kaushalshriyan »

Hi,

I am using http://sysadminsjourney.com/content/200 ... os-plugin/ for monitoring memory usage. I have a specific question about memory usage for mysqld process. I have mysql database running on the server. is there a way to find out how much memory mysql process is currently hogging and then set the warning and critical thresholds.

For example

Total RAM available on the server :- 64GB
Memory Allocated is 40GB.

How do i set warning and critical thresholds for memory used by MySQL process?

Any help will be highly appreciable.

Regards,

That plugin appears to be very old. You might want to look at https://exchange.nagios.com/directory/P ... sh/details instead.

We support neither one of those, but the one on our exchange has an email for the maintainer. I poked around to see if the dev of the plugin you mentioned is active anywhere. The answer: not really. You might try him on twitter or by submitting an issue on his github.

You're much likely to find answers here about plugins on our exchange, but we can do our best with other plugins in the one I sent isn't going to work for you.
