You might try running through this documentation:
https://www.unixmen.com/send-nagios-ale ... -whatsapp/

Though we do not have official documentation for integrating with WhatsApp.

WhatsApp is not something we officially support. We can leave this open for community comment.

I will ask though, is alerting through email working for you? If you are having trouble with alerts more generally, then we will be able to help.

The fact that that document is 4 years old might be part of the problem. Here's our documentation on notifications: https://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nag ... tions.html (if you are using Nagios Core 3.x, then you can just change the 4 to a 3 in the URL, but you should really consider upgrading)

What version of Core are you using? Was it compiled from source or installed from distro repos? On what OS/version is nagios running? cat /etc/*-release may be of use. All of that information will help us give you more direct file paths.

The one listed by @mcapra is what i would follow. What problems are you having at this point?

I would verify a few things to help identify where the issue is -
1. Are you able to get Yowsap running from the CLI? This will be your first point to make sure it's working. Take a look at - https://www.unixmen.com/send-nagios-ale ... -whatsapp/ - "First you need to register using yowsup in order to have a valid phone number and password."
2. If that's working, then we can move on to setting up your notification commands. Please show us your commands for notify-service-by-whatsapp and notify-host-by-whatsapp

If you are seeing other errors, please post them - but, again, we are limited to being able to help with the Nagios portion. The important part for you to do is #1, which is get the notifications working over the CLI with your config file.
