I am new to Nagios monitoring system. Please send me any videos or links for configuring from scratch .
What is the difference between the nagios core and nagios XI ?
Which version better for an organization.
How to get started?
Re: How to get started?
You can download either download a VMWare image (OVA) or run through the 'Source Install' to get it going. Nagios will install on CentOS6/7 or RHEL6/7. You can find more info here https://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nag ... ctions.pdf - and the download link is below.

The videos on the page above are pretty good intros as well.
We have plenty of tutorials available for installing XI here -

The other option is Nagios Core, which is our opensource product. https://www.nagios.org/projects/nagios-core/ - we have installation instructions available here - https://support.nagios.com/kb/article.p ... ategory=58
It is powerful, but requires a bit more 'manual' setting up. Nagios XI still runs this under the hood, but provides an easier way to utilize the Nagios interface.
