Access Point monitoring

Post by red_eagle »

What's the preffered method of monitoring WLAN controllers and their access points? Is there a plugin that can do a kind of snmpwalk to get all the AP's and then output their useage? An example would be using snmpwalk on a meru controller with the .1.3.6.1.4.1.15983.1.1.3.1.7.1.4 OID that gives all the AP names, then mapping them to .1.3.6.1.4.1.15983.1.1.3.1.7.1.8 which is their TxDataRate.

You'll need to setup checks using check_snmp manually. As for easy configuration, this isn't something we have fore Core.

Our enterprise product has a wizard you can use to setup checks in conjunction with a SNMPwalk. Might be what you're after - www.nagios.com

Just checking in since we have not heard from you in a while. Did @rkennedy's post clear things up or has the issue otherwise been resolved?
