[RESOLVED] Nagios 404 Not Found

Post by nagios1_1 »

Hello, I have correctly installed Nagios Core on my Ubuntu Server 16.04.2 (virtual machine). I correctly run Apache2 and Nagios service. If I enter my IP on the browser, it display the main page of Apache, but if I enter http://IP/nagios the browser responds with "404 Not Found".
Can you help me, please ?

What version of Core are you using? Was it compiled from source or installed from distro repos? On what OS/version is nagios running? cat /etc/*-release may be of use.

If you were upgrading, did you notice the piece at the bottom about the new config? https://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nag ... ading.html The instructions will be slightly different on Ubuntu. With that said, could you tell us what guide you used for the installation?

If it was a fresh install, we have ubuntu instructions available at https://support.nagios.com/kb/article.php?id=96

DISTRIB_CODENAME=xenial
DISTRIB_DESCRIPTION="Ubuntu 16.04.02 LTS"
Name="Ubuntu"
VERSION=""16.04.2 LTS (Xenial Xerus)"
ID="Ubuntu"
ID_LIKE=debian
PRETTY_NAME="Ubuntu 16.04.02 LTS"
HOME_URL="http://www.ubuntu.com/"

I have a basic Nagios 4.3.1 installed. for the first time

The official instructions @dwhitfield posted will work best to be honest. Hard to say what's happening in that guide. I would start with a fresh Ubuntu 16 machine, and follow the guide - https://support.nagios.com/kb/article.php?id=96
