What are the firewall ports need to be opened from nagios server to client devices for monitoring ?

It depends on how and what you are monitoring.
For example:
161 udp is for SNMP
162 is SNMP traps
5666 is NRPE
5667 is NCSA
12489 is NSClient
Although you'll need to translate XI to Core, you'll be able to find many of the port #s using https://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nag ... nistrator/. On the client side, there is no difference in XI and Core.
If you have specific questions about multiple ways of monitoring, I would suggest a post for each separate method just so if you end up needing help there aren't several trouble-shooting steps going on in the same thread.
This is not exactly what you are asking, but just in case...
80 or 443 (or whatever) for access to the web interface as well. You'll likely want 22 for ssh as well.
