Specific Access for a user in web interface

Post by raingary »

I am using Nagios Core 2.10 and want to implement that a user should see only the specific services/hosts information configured in the web interface. Please provide suggestions to do that.

Nagios Core 2.1! Wow that version is older than when I even started using Nagios! The only way to provide this sort of functionality is to create a contact that matches the users login name and assign that to the devices/services you want them to see, then in your nagios/etc/cgi.cfg add there login name to: authorized_for_system_information, authorized_for_configuration_information and authorized_for_system_commands.

Whether that functionality existed in 2.1 I don't know... but worth a test I guess.
