BPI group not showing critical status..

Post by kgkavitha270 »

Hi,

I have configured BPI on nagios core and created new group , added some members to that group.

But it is not showing proper status. Even Essential group member is critical but group status shows OK status.

Also in this group actual problems are 4 but it shows 9 problems at group level.

Could you please help me to solve this issue?

Regards,
Kavitha G

Can you post your bpi.conf file so we can check the syntax for any configuration errors?

The settings in the file look like they should work correctly.
What version of BPI are you using and what version of Nagios Core is running on the server?

The version of BPI you are running is the latest one so that should be good.

Open up the constants.conf file and verify that the paths to the status.dat and the objects.cache file are correct as well as the other paths.
Then access the BPI page and see if there are any errors in the Apache server's log files in the following folder. Post the errors if you find any.

Code: Select all

/var/log/httpd

Hi,

Path has been verified in constants.conf file, everything mentioned correctly.

There is no error message in apache log when accessing BPI page.

I would like to mention one point that we are integrated Thruk GUI with nagios Core in our environment.

Is there any issue because of Thruk like any configuration need to be done at thruk ? if yes let me know how do i rectify the same.

Thanks in advance...

If Thruk changes the format of the of the check's status in the status.dat file, that could be why BPI is reporting incorrect information.
You would have to look at Thruks web site to see if there are any issues using BPI and Thruk.
