I had a quick look at the documentation that I have linked and it is indeed too old to follow as is.
The idea to install and compile Nagios Core with using MySQL (NDO) is good and the way of replicating the data across with the use of the scripts (needs testing).
I won't touch perfpars since it is orphaned and there are more up to date and probably better tools for the job.
I will open a new thread when ready.
