I've suddenly started seeing a strange problem with a Nagios setup that's been running fine for months.
I have a Nagios 4.3.4 setup on Ubuntu 16.04 with about 50 hosts and 500 services. If I open the status page status.cgi, it usually lists all 500 services, but if I refresh that page, it will sometimes show all zeroes in the totals and the red message in the middle "It appears as though you do not have permission to view information for any of the services you requested...". If I refresh a couple of times, it will come back.
I can't see any errors in the Nagios log or the Apache log, so don't really know where to look for clues. This has been happening since a reboot yesterday.

Re: The status page sometimes doesn't show any services
Could you post your cgi.cfg file so we can see how it looks.
and apache2.conf file for nagios?
Something like this, but I can't remember exactly if it's correct.
Are you viewing those services as nagiosadmin or a different user?

Code: Select all
