Hi ,
I am planning a migration/upgrade of nagios core 3.4.3 to 4.3.4 and i have some questions regarding this. Seeking
your kind advice. My questions are as below ;
1. will the configs work without any modification from v3.4.3 to v4.3.4 ?
2. is there any other better ways / recommendation migration method - seamless migration ?
3. the nrpe in current client servers are at v2.12 and does it need to be upgraded to v3.2.1 ?

It depends. Your v3 configs might have directives that were deprecated in v4. Here's a list here that might help:trinetra wrote: 1. will the configs work without any modification from v3.4.3 to v4.3.4 ?

But upgrading is usually a very hands-on process and will have considerations specific to how your Nagios Core 3 was setup.
Nope, they should still work with the v2 version of check_nrpe. I'd suggest getting your Nagios Core machine to 4.3.4 before you worry about NRPE things.trinetra wrote:3. the nrpe in current client servers are at v2.12 and does it need to be upgraded to v3.2.1 ?
