Hello
I've installed an script for calculate SQL database size, I've executed this command in my SQL Server and I don't have any problem:
Message: OK: REPORTSERVER DATABASE SIZE IS 16 MB.
But when I've executed in my Nagios server this command by NRPE I'm receiving an error message:
COMMAND: ./check_nrpe -H XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX -p 5666 -c check_sqldbsize -a INSTANCE DATABASE WARNING CRITICAL
ERROR: Cannot open database "XXXXXXX" requested by the login. The login failed.
Could you send me any idea for resolve this problem?
Thank you very much.

Re: Problem check_nrpe with check_sqldbsize.vbs
I'm answering under the assumption that you acquired check_sqldbsize.vbs from here (correct me if I'm wrong):

I do not believe this script will work using Windows authentication unless the NSClient++ service user has the proper SQL Server permissions. Running NSClient++ as the local administrator is one way you could confirm this, though I can't recommend it as a long-term solution.
The script appears to have commented out sections of it for running with SQL Server authentication if you wanted to take that route:

Re: Problem check_nrpe with check_sqldbsize.vbs
Thank you for your reply, I've modified VBScript with my user :'sa' and his password, when I execute this script inside the server I don't have any problem but when I execute CHECK_NRPE command I receive an error message with login denied

Re: Problem check_nrpe with check_sqldbsize.vbs
Are you running NSClient? If so, can you post your nsclient.ini (or nsc.ini)? If not nsclient, please post your nrpe.cfg.

Re: Problem check_nrpe with check_sqldbsize.vbs
I'm a bit confused. Where is that nrpe.cfg coming from? Are you running vbs on Linux or do you have both a nrpe.cfg and nsc.ini on windows? The fact that you have a NSC.ini suggests you need to upgrade your NSClient to .4.4.
