@shekharalle, Can you show me permissions on the nagios.cfg file? You may correct them based on mine.
[root@centos7x64 libexec]# ls -l /usr/local/nagios/etc/nagios.cfg
-rwxrwxr-x 1 apache nagios 5670 Jan 15 2018 /usr/local/nagios/etc/nagios.cfg

I changed permissions of the nagios.config file and I get the following when I run /usr/local/nagios/bin/nagios -v /usr/local/nagios/etc/nagios.cfg

And when I set debug=1 and then run /usr/local/nagios/bin/nagios -v /usr/local/nagios/etc/nagios.cfg it gives me unknown variable error:

@shekharalle , Could you upload the nagios.cfg file in the thread or send it to me in a private message?

And I'm sending events from riemann monitoring tool to nagios through nsca and I can see that all the events are appearing in riemann log but sometimes on nagios dashboard it shows passive check not found and I checked nagios logs as well where I can't find the events.
But after few secs or mins they start appearing on the dashboard.
So is the external command malformed error responsible for loss of events?

Below is the log from riemann attached as png and as you can see I am getting events in Riemann server.

Sorry, it wasn't debug, it was debug_level, please change these then restart the nagios service:

Also sometimes it shows passive check not found whereas if i can see in my riemann.log events are being generated but in nagios log they are not there.

So now you're not seeing the malformed command message in the logs?

Please run this command and PM me the resulting /tmp/nagiosfiles.zip file:

Include the latest nagios.debug file if there is more data, that last one looked good.

And also as you can see in the image attached sometimes though my riemann server is sending events, few times nagios isn't getting those events as I can see in the logs for few minutes or secs sometimes.
And on Nagios dashboard as we can see it shows didn't found passive check for the service and this happens with every passive service few times for few minutes or even few secs sometimes.
Please help me.
