Is it possible to set an off-hours time block for a service?

Post by PolishPaul »

I'd like to be able to suppress checks for services at a certain time.

I have a task that runs on a server daily and causes the CPU to spike during that time. I'd like to be able to set a time window, say 11am - 1pm where this service would not be checked. How can that be accomplished?

Every service has an associated time period... the default one is 24x7. So step 1 is to create a new time period for outside of that window and step 2 is to assign that time period to the service or service template for that check... the exact directive to change is 'notification_period'.
