Hello,
I have a central Nagios Core 4.4.1 instance that receives passive host and service checks from several internal Nagios instances via nsca. The central instance does no active checking itself and it's the only instance that sends notifications.
When the central instance receives a HOST DOWN alert followed by a HOST RECOVERY, the CGI updates correctly, but the retention.dat does not. Hence, we get continuous RECOVERY notifications after a single DOWN.
I don't see this behavior with any of the services, just hosts.
Any guidance would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Re: core 4.4.1 retention.dat not updating properly
There was a known bug for this issue that was resolved in 4.4.3
